The vision of successfully shaping the future was the foundation stone for the company’s remarkable history. This began 45 years ago in Glattbach in Lower Franconia, Germany. In 1972, the brothers Martin and Hugo Philipp founded the family business, which started with 10 employees and a well-assorted range of wire ropes and hoisting equipment. Commitment and sensitivity to the needs of the market allowed the young company to grow in a very short time. Already in 1976 the company moved to Aschaffenburg and set further important milestones for the company’s success with the new locations in Coswig, Neuss, Dardesheim and Saalfelden / Salzburg, Austria. In addition to the production area in the Lilienthalstrasse and the neighbouring customer service center in the Daimlerstraße, the company moved into its current main production site in Mainaschaff in 2008.
With continuous investments in production and sales the PHILIPP Group strengthens its position for the future. High-tech production facilities ensure high quality, the latest communication technology ensures immediate decision-making and the ability to act.
As a modern, service-oriented company, the PHILIPP Group has set up its own training centre in Aschaffenburg, where customers are offered application-related specialist seminars in the fields of hydraulics, load securing, lashing technology, wire rope knowledge as well as the training of experts. As an option, these training courses can also take place at the customer's site. Customer service, one of the company’s focus, includes 24-hour hydraulic service and the regular inspection of lifting equipment in accordance with legal regulations. Engineers from the technical departments offer application-orientated solutions for customers, such as individual hydraulic systems, the design of cross beams and grippers as well as also static calculations for the lifting and transport of heavy precast concrete units.
Also the internal further training and development of the employees is a major target at PHILIPP. In special trainings the employees are informed about the latest procedures, regulations and standards. Orders to institutions of the “Lebenshilfe“, with which PHILIPP has been cooperating for over 25 years, is only one sample of our social role model.
The future-oriented strategy of the company is paying off. In this context, the PHILIPP Group, as an important employer in the region, is concentrating on maintaining and expanding the production and offices in Aschaffenburg. The regional reference and the grown contacts to customers and suppliers located here are of high importance for PHILIPP.
